Joining the DHF Maker Educator Online Community
Our Maker Educator Slack community chat is the next best thing to being in the same room as Digital Harbor Foundation staff and hundreds of maker educators around the country. We have chat channels for a variety of maker education and technology topics, such as programming, 3d printing, and “Making 101.”
Joining our educator community adds you to the DHF team, and the DHF staff frequently contribute to the channels. Our community of practice is always growing, and by joining our Slack team you’ll be able to get your questions answered in real time, give and receive feedback on projects, and share resources with like-minded educators.
What is Slack?
Slack is an online collaboration tool and chat program that was founded in 2013. DHF has used Slack for a number of years to communicate internally, and we’ve been expanding our Slack team to include members of the maker and technology education community across the country. We’d like to welcome you to our Slack team so that you have access to our thoughts and can communicate directly with DHF staff. Our goal is to continue to add more maker and tech educators to the community who are interested in sharing their knowledge and passion with other like-minded practitioners.
Slack allows you to ask any questions you’d like, and members of our maker educator community can chime in with their answers alongside DHF staff.
